The d300 is a 12.3mp but the reason this picture is sharp is because of my awesome new 24-70 f/2.8 nikon lens!! It is just about as sharp as they come :D Thanks for the compliment!

I have a friend who shoots canon and his 24-70 f/2.8 is really sharp! Also, a lot of the prime portrait lenses are really sharp like 100mm and 135mm and the 85mm f/1.2 :D Unfortunately, these are all pretty expensive. I know the Nikon 60mm f/2.8 afd is extremely sharp and only costs about $350. Maybe canon has a sharp macro like that. I use the 60mm for a lot of portraits. The only problem is that I have to soften the skin in photoshop because it picks up EVERY flaw :D :camera:

allright thanks alot mate. actually i have the canon 50mm and is pretty sharp as well. i may have to look for the 24-70. thanks for the help. :) have a great day.
